The Niagara Peninsula Geological Society is hosting the Geo-Venture 2008 at the Beamsville Strawberry Festival. The date for this is the 21st of June from 10:00 a.m. till 5 p.m.. This is a free to the public event showcasing; fossils, and minerals,lapidary arts including gem cutting and polishing, [with demonstrations] workshops, soapstone carving, sandbox treasure hunting, cookie mining and much more for the children and adults. As well there will be dealers selling anything you would need for this hobby. Come on into the grandstand hall and experience the flourencent rocks changing into brilliant vibrant colors, look through the microscopes to expolore the crystals.
