Lincoln's Berries & Blooms Festival offers a wide array of handcrafted and manufactured items -- everything from painted glassware & wood, stained glass, flowers made of money, handcrafted beaded jewellery, gold, silver, crystal and costume jewellery, quilted items, purses, sunglasses, water bottles, candles, pressed flower creations, scarves, hats, books, toys, wood creations, scroll art, linen & cotton clothing, hats, wallets, Central American crafts, and teas & accessories are just some of the items that will catch your eye! You can even book a Tarot card reading or a massage! With the wedding and graduation season upon us you will be sure to find a unique gift! Or, maybe something for yourself!
Business Displays
Everything from financial information to health products, educational games & books to a retirement residence, fitness to kitchen ware, make up, skin care, basement refinishing systems, insurance, organizing services to upholstery & furniture refinishing, waste management & recycling, hearing consultants and chiropractic - all these businesses and more will be on site to answer your questions about their services and products.
Community Displays
Are you new to the Town of Lincoln or newly retired with extra time on your hands? Have we got just what you need! The Town of Lincoln will feature their summer programs for all ages along with their Community in Blooms program; the Jordan Historical Museum will take you on a trip back in time; the local Women's Institute, the Lincoln Public Library and the Grimsby Kinsmen & Kinettes will highlight what they have to offer the community. Vineland's Upper Deck and Grimsby's F.O.R.T. will feature their youth programs. The Progressive Conservative Party & Green Party of Ontario will be on hand to answer your timely queries. Grace Community Church and Calvary Gospel Church will offer information on their programs. The Lions Guide Dog program will also be featured. Please stop by and visit with these amazing folks, mostly volunteers, and maybe you'll find a group you want to join! And as always, many local service clubs and organizations are involved in providing food and volunteers for the Festival.
Food
Burgers, fries, hot dogs, pizza & wings, strawberry sundaes, kettlecorn and popcorn, ice cream novelties, funnel cakes with strawberries, floats and ice cream -- is your mouth watering yet? All these delicious food items will be on site so there is no excuse to go hungry at the Berries & Blooms Festival! Of course there will be fresh berries from Hildreth Farm Market to take home.
The Bloomin' Berrylicious Contest
Here is the perfect opportunity to show off your culinary skills to the world, well, at least Beamsville! Prepare your favourite recipe that incorporates local produce and /or edible flowers and enter it for a chance to win some yummy prizes! Age categories are 5 - 12 years; 13 - 19 years and 20 years and up and can include original, family favourite or novelty recipes! Use your imagination and have fun! Bring your entries to the Berries & Blooms Festival between 1 and 2 pm. for judging.
